Most of the activities were dedicated to the testing of the app and to the collection of ground truth, and validation points of the land cover map.
A specific activity has been dedicated to the collection of information on water use and land use, involving local communities to collect the data on water contamination through the app.
The team from UOE was composed by the coordinator Dr Wambu for the first two days, by Prof Mwasi during the last two ones, and by four young researchers: Kimberly Kipkorir, Goofry Yatov, Zedkiah Ongeri, Samson Odhiambo.
These collaborators were chosen by Prof Mwasi on the basis of their skills in GIS and remote sensing mapping, and they have demonstrated to be ready and smart to begin the new work in the field. The workgroup was completed by the team from UNICA: Dr Maria Teresa Melis and Dr Francesco Dessì.
